We had the pleasure of flying from Auckland to Sydney in Air New Zealand's Business Class, which provided us with a delightful blend of luxury and comfort. This exceptional service encompassed extra baggage allowance, express check-in and access to the Koru Club lounge, giving us time to enjoy a bite to eat and a short relaxation before our flight.
As we entered the aircraft we were greeted by the warm and attentive hospitality of the cabin crew who provided us with a high level of service throughout the flight ensuring our every need was met. The spacious, reclining seats offered an abundance of legroom ensuring optimum comfort and space to work if need be.
We enjoyed a range of gourmet dishes, rose tea, wine and juice. My lunch consisted of the following:
Amuse-bouche: Horopito beef tenderloin with smoked kumara puree and picked daikon
Bakery: Sundried tomato rolls
Entre: Mini mezze dolmades with tomato cucumber and pomegranate salad beetroot and tahini dip
Main: Slow cooked New Zealand Lamb neck braised in red wine with toasted walnut and spinach farro, caponata and fresh rocket
Dessert: Raspberry panna cotta with golden peach gel and freeze-dried raspberry crumb
Cheese: A selection of fine New Zealand cheese served with crackers and a fig and pear relish
I was able to choose from a wide selection of movies, TV shows, music, and games to keep me entertained throughout the flight. I also had the choice of catching up on some work using the in-flight Wi-fi. My only complaint would be that due to the design of the chairs it was very hard to look out the windows and take photos and as I enjoy taking photos this was quite frustrating for me. However, having said this I did manage to get some photos of Auckland and Sydney.
